A frame mount adds weight forward of the trigger guard using the XDM's accessory rail, shifting balance toward the muzzle and reducing the rotation causing muzzle rise after each shot. On an XDM used in Standard or Open competition, where split times are a direct scoring variable, less rise per shot means faster and more consistent sight return between accurate rounds. The XDM and XDM 5.25" share the same frame rail.
